Being Vulnerable

“Vulnerability is the birthplace of love, belonging, joy, courage, empathy, and creativity. It is the source of hope, empathy, accountability, and authenticity. If we want greater clarity in our purpose or deeper and more meaningful spiritual lives, vulnerability is the path.” -Dr.Brené Brown

Let yourself be seen. Even the parts of you that are unexpected and under construction.

Being vulnerable is all about baring your soul to crushing feedback and criticism. Yeah, that happens - but I have come to understand that people will respond to situations the way the know how. It's got nothing to do with you and you should never let their baggage become yours.

The true gem of vulnerability for me, is the connections you make with people because of it. Most people will appreciate your authenticity and honesty. They can relate to it - and who doesn't want to feel that?

I have found that being vulnerable has made me a better friend, sister, daughter, partner and co-worker.

When we are brave, we allow others around us to be brave too. We create a safe space of openness and in that space, we all grow.
